Mike McFarland, the English voice of Buggy, has passed away at 56
The English dub community is mourning Mike McFarland, the voice actor best known to One Piece fans as Buggy the Clown, who has died at the age of 56. McFarland voiced the flashy pirate across the Funimation and Crunchyroll English adaptation, and also worked behind the scenes as an ADR director on the series.
Beyond One Piece he was a familiar presence in anime dubbing, and fans and colleagues have been sharing tributes to both his performances and his production work.
